Featuring H&E Smith Eco-Glazed Brick Slips in Victorian Green
The Pembury Tavern in Hackney, London, has been beautifully restored in a thoughtful refurbishment led by Hunters Daughter. This 280 sqm project involved a full interior redesign and spatial remodelling to bring new life to a landmark pub while celebrating its heritage and character.
Previously damaged by fire and later refitted in the 1990s, the interior had lost much of its charm. The new design focused on creating a timeless pub atmosphere, improving circulation, and using authentic materials that reflect the building’s history.
A standout feature of the renovation is the bar front, finished with our H&E Smith Eco-Glazed Brick Slips in Victorian Green. Handmade in Stoke-on-Trent using sustainable production methods, these tiles provide depth, texture, and a rich glaze that enhances the warm, inviting feel of the space.
The result is a space that balances craftsmanship, comfort, and sustainability, offering a setting that feels both classic and modern — perfectly suited to today’s pub culture.
